Registration
Registrations will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis. You can register online or by phone. Guidelines for authorities on the recognition of language skills
- The levels are designated as levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2).
- The level of oral language competence is defined as the level achieved in the oral or speaking part of a language test.
- The level of written language competence is defined as the level achieved in the written part or in the reading and writing parts of a language test.
- If a certificate specifies separate levels for reading and writing, the lower level applies. This means: If a certificate specifies level A1 for reading and level A2 for writing, then the overall written language proficiency level is A1. If the levels are far apart, the intermediate level applies. This means: If, for example, a certificate specifies level A1 for reading and level B1 for writing, then the overall written language proficiency level is A2.
- If you fail an exam overall but receive a passing grade in the oral or written sections, the section with the passing grade can be recognized. Score sheets from various recognized exams can be combined accordingly
- If a language certificate was obtained a long time ago and the competent authority has doubts about the current language level of an applicant, it can request a new language certificate.
Please note that each authority, canton, municipality, etc. can determine for itself how the result is summarized.
